The Night and Love: a Poem

1–2 minutes
,
Oh how sweet and foul love is,

in one moment; happiness

in the next; awful sadness.

But I will never give up

the love we share for each other.

You are the only reason

the stars in my night sky shine,

and the moon pokes its face out.

You are also the cause of

my sky’s eternal darkness,

and the death of the poor moon.

But even though, in spite of

those terrible happenings,

you always make it better.

By reviving that old moon,

and kissing the stars awake

you ignite my dark night sky,

and I fall in love again.
